What we do

Three practice areas that work as one: results-driven financial planning for every client who wants it, a portfolio built around you, and tax planning for the owners of closely held businesses.

Financial Planning

Financial planning at Integrity starts with the results you want, such as a reliable retirement income, a lower lifetime tax bill, and a protected estate, then builds the tax, retirement, insurance, investment, and estate decisions to get there. Financial planning is included as part of the investment management fee, so there is no separate planning charge.

For: families in or near retirement who want their income, tax, and withdrawal decisions worked out before they start drawing on their savings; professionals and business owners whose taxes, benefits, and equity have outgrown do-it-yourself planning

Personal Index Portfolios

Personal Index Portfolios combine the best features of low-cost indexing and the inclusion of your personal views. Instead of buying an index fund, you own a sample of the stocks in the index, which lets us apply exclusions position by position and, for taxable accounts, manage taxes the same way.

For: investors with taxable accounts of roughly $500,000 or more, where tax-loss harvesting has room to work; people with concentrated stock or industry exposure (for example, oil and gas employees) who need the rest of the portfolio to offset it

Tax Planning for Business Owners

The largest tax decisions in an owner's life are made years before the sale, and most of them cannot be undone at the letter of intent. We help owners and their CPAs make them early, then manage the proceeds when the day comes.

For: founders and owners of closely held companies in texas and louisiana; owners three to seven years from a possible sale, succession, or recapitalization

Service questions

Which service do I need?

If you mostly want advice on tax, retirement, insurance, and estate decisions, start with financial planning (included as part of the investment management fee). If you want your investments managed with taxes and values handled position by position, Personal Index Portfolios are the core service, with optional active tax management for taxable accounts. If you own a business, tax planning for business owners covers the entity, exit, and retirement plan decisions that have to be made years before a sale.

Do you prepare tax returns?

No. Integrity Financial Planning does tax planning, not tax preparation. We are not a CPA firm; we model the decisions ahead of time and coordinate with your tax preparer, who files the return.

Is financial planning a separate charge?

No. Financial planning is included as part of the investment management fee. It is available to every client who wants it, at no additional cost.

What do the services cost?

Investment management is 1.0% per year on the first $1,000,000 and 0.85% above that to $10,000,000. Financial planning is included as part of the investment management fee. See the fees page.
